Wild Messtechnik GmbH is the inventor, manufacturer and supplier of Setting Control Systems for Stone Crushers. The SCS measures and documents the closed side setting (CSS) on jaw, cone and gyratory crushers while the machine is running. No lead, no downtime, nobody underneath the crusher.
What the SCS replaces
Measuring with lead requires the plant to be stopped, staff at or inside the crushing chamber, and lead lumps to be retrieved and measured. It delivers one value per stoppage at a barely reproducible measuring point and produces lead and aluminium waste. With the SCS the crusher keeps running, the operator works from a safe position above the feed opening, and measurements can be repeated as often as needed — including to record wear on mantle and cone.
How it works
- Select the sensor: choose the colour-coded sensor for the CSS target range, connect a measuring hose from 3 to 30 m, switch on the handheld unit and guide the sensor along the mantle into the crushing gap.
- Sensor compression: between cone and mantle the sensor is compressed cyclically; the signal is evaluated in the handheld unit.
- Read the result: pull the sensor back out and read the narrowest gap (CSS) on the device.
